Diganto Television, Dhaka, Bangladesh goes on air – 24 / 7
Singapore, September 30, 2008: Benchmark Broadcast Systems are pleased that Bangladesh’s latest television station – Naya Diganto TV – is on air 24 / 7. Owned by the Daily Naya Diganto, Dhaka (Bangladesh), Naya Diganto TV is a fully automated, digital broadcast facility that incorporates the latest, state-of-the-art technologies. Moreover, it marks the entry of Naya Diganto into the field of broadcast media.
Naya Diganto awarded this systems integration project to Benchmark Broadcast Systems (S) Pte Ltd after an extensive and thorough evaluation process. What played a strong factor in the decision was Benchmark’s setting up of two other channels in Bangladesh – RTV and nTV – on schedule, on budget and on specification.
The Naya Diganto project has maintained that track record.
As Mr Mir Quasem Ali, Chairman, Management Committee, The Daily Naya Diganto, said, “Despite certain problems, beyond anyone’s control, I am pleased to say that Benchmark have delivered – yes, on schedule and on budget.”
Naya Diganto TV is a comprehensive channel that offers both entertainment as well as news. The multi-million dollar (US$) station has two studios, a news production facility, a post production facility, a Master Control Room and a Central Equipment Room and uplinks from Dhaka.
Benchmark are Systems Integrators for the entire project – from the Electronic News Gathering (ENG) facilities to the earth station. The workflows embrace hardware such as the Octopus Newsrooms System, Seachange Video Servers, IMC Technologies’ Remote Producer for news editing, the Matrox Axio for program editing and Vizrt for 2D & 3D broadcast graphics and virtual sets, to name some. All systems are controlled by Aveco automation.
